Sacrifice is traditionally used to ready and bring yourself into the optimal state of surrender. It means offering something of yourself or making an effort. For example: in an Ayahuasca workshop you sacrifice a certain amount of money. Over the last many centuries, the spiritual meaning of sacrifice has been distorted. People, believing their actions were pure, would sacrifice animals and even other humans to the gods. But this was never the purpose of sacrifice.
Gods or angels are energetic entities of a high order who want to assist us in our search for self. They do not ask for or need anything from us. When we make sacrifices, we do it for ourselves in order to reach a state of humility. The sacrifice the vision quest asks of us is physical and emotional preparation, such as fasting and praying. The physical journey you make to the Czech Republic and its accompanying costs are also considered a sacrifice in this context.
For the vision quest in 2014, the sacrifice requested is €1250. This excludes the cost of your trip and materials such as a tent or sleeping bag, etc. you need to provide yourself during the weekend.
